Most research papers I found only studied its effects on depression and Parkinson's disease rather than its ability to treat hyperpigmentation of the skin.

I am beginning to this that it may be useless to study its effect as a skin lightening injectable peptide.

So is the lack of studies covering this effect because it does not lighten the skin, or because it is common sense that a melanin inhibiting factor will lighten the skin and reduce hyperpigmentation, so no one studied it?

I have very limited fund and lab resources for this research from my institution, so I'm trying to invest them in something that will be ground-breaking.

So does MIF-1 lighten the skin when injected into it? And why isn't there much research papers covering its ability to do so?

Thank you.
