I know insulating material can be conductive by mixing it with conductive particle when the volume fraction of conductive particle is above percolation threshold
My questions are
(1) I wonder if resistivity of conductive particles which mixed with insulating material relates to percolation threshold?
I want to mix insulating material with either carbon or silver.
Each of carbon and silver makes same threshold when each mixs with insulating material (assuming each carbon and silver has same volume)?
It seems to me that each has different percolation threshold when they mix with insulating material. but I am not sure.
I want to know correlation between percolation threshold and resistivity of conductive particle before it become conductive.
(2) Apparently, this percolation threshold is function of density of mixing particles.
because filling packing factor F(limit of system filling or highest possible filler volume ) has density as one of functional values. why density is related to threshold?
