Hello,

I have conducted a Likert scale questionnaire (from 1-5, from strongly disagree, disagree, neutral, agree and strongly agree)with 157 qualified responses.

I would like to know if I should do a normality test. If so which one is recommended? Since I have visualized the distribution of each question, it does not look normally distributed.

If it is not required to do a normality test? Would there be some literature supporting this claim?

I have already done a Spearman Correlation Test as suggested by my Tutor. Would that be suitable for non-normal distributed Likert scale data?

Thanks a lot in advance.
