Dear All,

Assume there is a inverter and its nominal output power is 500kw. 16 PV strings are connected to it as its input. Each string has 16 module, and each module output 300w at STC.

After rains, grass grows in the summer. 1 of the 16 strings is shaded by grass and other 15 strings are not affected.

Does the inverter change its MPP when the string is shaded, and switch back when the shading disappears in a clear sky day?

In which condtion, the inverter change its MPP?

Is there any event recorded in the inverter management system to check?

My opinion is that it is not true since the inverter is not sensitive to such a string shading. MPP can change when irradiation change apprantly.

Thanks.
