The academic curriculum today globally produces brilliant study only, why? Effective teaching requires teachers to have not only sufficient knowledge in their own fields, but also an interdisciplinary understanding that ranges across multiple branches of human
knowledge. Classroom teaching is a complex activity that demands teachers possess substantial thinking skills and a solid knowledge base. Knowledge of subject matter is a prerequisite for effective classroom instruction. A teacher’s understanding of subject facts, concepts, principles, methodology, and important generalizations determines his/her pedagogical thinking ,Content knowledge, and decision-making. Effective teachers use a wide variety of sources and make meaningful connections to sustain students’ inquiry across disciplines.

Good teaching in addition to family care produce intelligent student.
Good teaching may help towards intelligence of students. However, for me, the crucial factor is the positive attitude of students for the acquirement of knowledge along with their critical thinking.

A good teaching means developing students. A good teacher should concern to develop a good personal qualities within the student.
Lets see what is a good personal qualities.
Good personal qualities lead to good man/woman.
The view of McCullough & Snyder (2000) is that the character is a higher-order construct reflecting the possession of several of the component virtues. According to Opatha (2010) absence of virtues results in the absence of a good personal character. Possession of virtues contributes to a good personal character, which leads to good personal quality. Good qualities or habits which do not harm a person are virtues. These are advantageous and favorable for self-development, others’ development and institutional development. Zagzebski (1998) presents a set of virtues. They are namely, Wisdom, Courage, Benevolence, Justice, Honesty, Loyalty, Integrity and Generosity. Opatha & Teong (2014) are also present a set of virtues. They are, Honesty, Patience, Gratitude, Humility, Respect, Benevolence, Tolerance, Self-Discipline, Caring, Loyalty.

Teaching in academia should produced T-shaped people today.
Teach should focus on skills not grade. Why?
T-shaped people are ready for Teamwork – they are excellent communicators, with real world experience, and deep (or specialized) in at least one discipline and systems area, but with good team work skills interacting with others who are deep in other disciplines and systems areas. Also, T-shaped professionals also make excellent entrepreneurs, able to innovate with others to create new technology, business, and societal innovations. T-shaped people are adaptive innovators, and well prepared for life-long learning in case they need to become deep in some new area… they are better prepared than I-shaped people, who lack the breadth.
Therefore, IBM and other public and private organizations are looking to hire more of this new kind of skills and experience profile – one that is both broad and deep. These organizations have been collaborating with universities around the world to establish a new area of study known as service science, management, engineering, and design (SSMED) – to prepare computer scientists, MBAs, industrial engineers, operations research, management of information systems, systems engineers, and students of many other discipline areas – to understand better how to work on multidisciplinary teams and attack the grand challenge problems associated with improving service systems.

It does but both 'good teaching' and 'intelligence' are broad concepts with multiple approaches and multiple ideas around them. So each case has to be dealt with differently.....
Individual 'Purpose' of eduction, 'determine' the use of the teaching in Education . that is the object of learning.
Definitely, good classroom strategies are considered the strong factor in determining the student's performance.
When learning outcomes gives skills to create wealth. Then, health is wealth.

Intelligence is shaped by genetics and socialization environment. Since formal education is a source of secondary socialization, you may say that teaching improves intelligence. Good teaching may not always produce intelligence among all students because many other influences also shape a person’s intelligence.
