Research Method Theory references that best anwer a student include Ray Allen Thietart, doing management research; research design by john creswell, experimental design , hair and andersen, research methods, Adams and Khsn and I also prefer Statistics for SPSS by Andy Fields.

What would be required howewver is search for reference papers in each topic of interest, whether qualitative design or quantitative design and based on research methods chosen, hypothesis should be a natural corollary with each test and data slice
