Don't know about the literature but this is (relatively) easy, and most of all cheap, to confirm via PCR and sanger-sequencing.

Probably not, but you can test your primers in silico, i.e. at genome.ucsc.edu

Click PCR at the top and you can select Pig and human and just type in your primers.
