I faced the problem of flashing of the plasma during the analysis by ICP-MS, I checked the flow in the pipes and it is correct there is not any that enters.
we also checked the APEX-Q even rinse it, the problem disappears but quickly reappears, if someone have an idea about a potential cause, I'll be very grateful!
Could your RF generator be nearing it's end of practical service? When they get old the device works harder to produce sufficient current to maintain plasma. When strong samples are introduced, the circuit has to work harder to maintain the plasma and starts to fail resulting in crackles and harsh noise. Perhaps call the service engineers and have them investigate.

Thank you! I think this was the cause of the flashing specifically in the circulation of the sample in the ApexQ, so I removed the ApexQ then the problem was fixed.
