I am interested in the potential photo-properties of precious metal oxides, say PtO2, AgO, RuO2or IrO2 nanoparticles, concerning their band gaps/edges. Comments, information, or literatures are appreciated.
I can only write for AgO, as I don't have experience with the other metal oxides:
AgO/Ag2O absorbs the light and shows no scattering, also for large particles. For Ag/AgxO particles the absorption peaks of Ag are red-shifted and decrease in intensity.
Sources below for composite particles. I'd assume the other precious metal oxide particles would behave similar.
