Several years ago we published a paper where we used the method of double superposed epoch analysis (SEA): re-scaling (proportional increase/decrease distance between points of intervals with different durations) intervals by a such manner that first and last points of intervals coincide for all intervals. Several authors call this method the multi-epoch SEA. We would like to know who and when has for the first time suggested and applied this method.
