I am preparing a presentation on the value and place of reports as communication and assessment tool for secondary school pupils.  I have noticed that communication with parents seems to drop off in secondary school and want to find ways to revitalise this.  I also feel that reports can form an evaluative tool for teaching and become a valuable public face of a school.  I am therefore looking for scholarly support for this.
