Normally epoxy based resins are used for glob topping gold or aluminium wire bonds. Does anyone know of other materials which could be used for this purpose?
We havr tried using various waxes, depositing them thermally. Also you can try using crosslinked pdms or plasma deposited amorphous "polymers" from IPA or acetone in gas phase. The cast variant is a bit complex, but realizes good thermally conductivity. However it is not a very good insulator, and big thicknesses require really long deposition times
