The current treatment of psychosis in Parkinson's Disease leaves a lot to be desired. Most treatment seems to be with antipsychotics which are not ideal in PD. Although dopamine is implicated, it appears there are other neurotransmitters that may be involved. I am interested in exploring alternatives.
I don't have an answer to your question but if you are intrested in the topic I would recommend the work by Susan Fox and collegues. They have developed a model of psychosis-like behaviour in MPTP monkeys treated with L-DOPA. It might give you some inspiration on how to proceed with your own research.

Psychotic symptoms in Parkinson's Disease are usually secondary to dopamine agonists.You could try reducing the dose.
For treatment of (medication-induced) psychotic symptoms, the antipsychotic clozapine in ultra-low doses should be considered. This drug is usually well tolerated, even by PD patients. Certainly, you will have to look for side effects (which can be extremely dangerous in the case of clozapine, even at low doses).
