I am in a science research program at my school. This is my second year in the program. Last year I became interested in nutrition. I spent the past year doing journal research acquiring background knowledge, and developing my own ideas. My goal is to be able to participate in authentic science research in the field, and to enter competitions such as Intel, Siemens, and others. I am currently in the process of looking for a mentor and a lab to work in. Does anyone know of any opportunities?
It would help if you could tell us where you are located. Try searching your local university website for "internship". There are several opportunities for summer internships and lab volunteers in Philadelphia, USA (where I live) but they won't be much use to you if you live in Fairbanks, Alaska :-).
Thanks for the suggestion, I am in Westchester NY, but I can do the research over the summer so I am open to going anywhere.
