Indeed, very difficult. The only good key I know is from France; the books from Vandel. For the rest there are, as far as I know, only descriptions of single species or genera.

I have recently started to read about terrestrial isopods and I'd like to know it there is any identification key for Italian species. I have found a good one for Hungarian species, but it isn't very useful.
