Does anyone know how to detect different crystal shape of Fe2O3 using FTIR? alfa Fe2O3 and gama Fe2O3?

I have synthesized composite of carbon and Fe2O3 nanoparticles, know I want to know what kind of crystal (alfa-Fe2O3 or gama Fe2O3) was synthesized in my composite using FTIR and XRD?

I recommend you take a look to Cornell,The Iron oxides chapter 7, but in advance XRD would give you information, but you will need high resolution spectra, I think that FTIR in the region of 1000-400 cm-1 is better to distinguish between them.
