You can do it with various available softwares, e.g. Peakfit. But I personally use the software of the spectrometer, allowing to do it quite easily. Don't you have this function on your machine ?
Anyway, deconvoluting the bands is not always recommended, as the results may be quite different depending on how many peaks you use. Some people use 4, other 5 bands ... And hence, sometimes the ratio taken directly from the raw spectra is enough for comparing samples with each other.

Thank you for your response, Dr. Celzard. The software on our machine does not have the capability of fitting peaks. I was using Origin 8 to correct baseline of my raw data and using fitting to find maximum intensity of D and G bands for calculating Id/Ig ratio. I came across few papers in literature that perform deconvolution to calculate Id/Ig and like you mentioned earlier, I was concerned because that would depend on a personal choice to 2, 4 or 5 bands to fit it.
Yes, deconvoluting Raman bands is delicate and very sensitive to "the operator" (number of bands, number of iterations, predefined position of the bands, ...). I do it when I have no choice, i.e., when the change of intensity ratio is not clear in a series of materials. But if a series a sample shows a clear trend of ID/IG (once baseline correction was done, as you mentionned, this is very important), I avoid doing the deconvolution.
