Precipitates keep forming during the sterilisation of KB agar (quite a bit) and I am looking for some advice to help reduce or avoid this. The recipe I am using is 20g/L proteose peptone, 1.5g/L MgSO4.7H2O, 1.5g/L K2HPO4, 15g/L agar bacteriological no. 1 (oxoid), and 10ml/L glycerol. All this is mixed in 1L dH2O and then autoclaved at 121C for 15 mins. Any help/advice would be appreciated. Cheers
