In fact, it is likely that genome of neanderthalensis in our genome can be detected on the basis of the sequencing of ancient DNA. But I am wondering if genetical model could dated a significant increase of genome diversity due to genome introgression by inter-species hybridization in the case of human lineage. It is possible? Was it done?
