We thought about using qualtrics for our online intervention, however, turned to TailorBuilder. Usually I have a hand for such things so maybe I can help you when I invest some time to walk through it.

I just starting using Qualtrics this past year, with one study being longitudinal (2 time points). In short, you have to create a survey for each time point and then use the panels function to import participant contact information (i.e., it's basically an address book of all your participants that completed T1). Once you have that, you can easily schedule for qualtrics to send out subsequent surveys at the desired time (T2 and T3 can be set up in advance so you don't have to actively monitor it). I'd be happy to provide a more thorough walkthrough in the next couple of days (I've also started creating some detailed instruction sheets for RAs...I already have one for using panels, but I can forward others along as I finish them)

I am also creating a diary study, where I want participants to answer 10 mood items in the morning and 10 work performance items in the evening, for 10 consecutive working days. At the start of the study I want them to complete a personality questionnaire, and at the end of the study I want them to complete another personality questionnaire. The issue is that participants will be completing different questionnaires on different days, so I would like to make sure there is an automated email system where each participant receives the correct questionnaire each morning and evening.

Please could you help with how to set this up? At the moment I have 4 separate projects created with the different questionnaires, for each time point. Please could you provide the more thorough walk through that you mentioned above?

Alternatively if anyone else can help, that would be much appreciated.

So I ran the study, only had 2 time points, and here's the way to create a longitudinal design in Qualtrics:

1. Create a link to the second survey (Survey 2)

2. Include this link in an Email Trigger to send out on a later date (I sent it after 4 weeks). Here's a link explaining the procedure of Triggering Emails to Respondents :

3. Attach the needed participant information to the link of the second survey, as explained here:

4. In the Survey Flow of the second survey, add an Embedded Data field to pull the respondent information included in the link:

It's a little complicated and I had to try it several times, but eventually it works... :-)

I used Qualtrics in the first round, my respondents provided their individual code (e.g. A18C) and also the goal they are striving for (e.g. to read five books). In the second round, as I do not expect that they remember the goal, I want to present them the goal after inserting their individual code (e.g., after inserting A18C, they will see: Your previously indicated goal was: to read fie books). Do you have any ideas how to do it in Qualtrics?
