Either dissolve pelleted flagella right into 1x SDS sample buffer, or resuspend the flagella in a small volume of buffer and then add an equal volume of 2x sample buffer (I prefer to resuspend in buffer first, as the flagellar proteins sometimes form clumps if you try to resuspend them directly in 1x).  Boil and load on gel.
