The Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) was introduced by Saaty (1977) and is a very popular means to calculate the needed weighting factors by help of a preference matrix where all identified relevant criteria are compared against each other with reproducible preference factors.
The extension AHP 1.1 - Decision support tool for ArcGIS, from 2009, performs a criteria weight determination and create a new raster as a weighted sum of the available rasters.
I installed the ArcScript AHP 1.1 in ArcMap 10.2, and when I try to create a new raster as a weighted sum of the available rasters I obtain an error: "AddRastersMapAlgb: Automation error".
I tried the same while calculating weights, the same error resulted. The alternative that I worked with was to calculate the weights and CR via a spreadsheet. The matrix so formed calculated Eigen Vectors and Eigen Values that are the weights and CR.

Recently I had faced to a similar problem. I'm using Qgis (formely Quantum GIS) to process your information and take a decision using to add-ons available for this platform.
The first called AHP (https://plugins.qgis.org/plugins/EasyAHP/) works so fine.
The second one ELECTRE-TRI (https://plugins.qgis.org/plugins/qgis_etri/) is substantially better. Specially if you will work with energy optimization in mind.
Those add-ons or plug-ins are write in phython, then you can easily move then to arc-info/view; but you can use it in Q-Gis because this gis can import your data from .shp files, additionally you can add informatio relative to decision criteria and weights , assessment , etc. in excel format.
Finally you can export the solved problem to .shp .dbf … structure to be read in arc family format.
Note Electri-Tri is a framework used to develop Promethee-Gaia decision framework. They are more powerfull than AHP or ANP (Hierarchical Network Proccess)

if you calculate your weights externally, you can perform weighted sum via raster calculator in ArcMAP- and then you do not need any extenstions/plugins (but i guess you already know that there is a specific weighted sum tool in ArcMAP info level license as well). This is probably the fastest way to do this.
Otherwise, if you really want to do all your work inside the GIS, you might consider using Ilwis or Idrisi GIS, which both have very nice decision support wizards where you can use AHP to calculate weights (but maybe you already knew this). Ilwis is also a freeware. You can always export you result as ASCII, and import it into ArcMAP (any GIS) for further processing.

I have the same problem here as I want to use GIS-based AHP to evaluate the weights and ranking of my criteria. I couldn't get the AHP in the ArcGIS. Where and how can I get it inside the ArcGIS to help me perform my calculation?
