Citation offers reaction with aqueous sulfuric acid to form carbamic acid:
H2O + HCN.H2SO4 -> HCOONH2 + H2SO4

It is usually treated in an absorption tower with chemical reaction, better known as "wet scrubber" with NaOH or other alcaline material. My problem is that my effluent contains a lot of CO2 wich would consume huge amounts of alcaline solution. I'm thinking of using same process, but with acid hydrolysis that would not absorbe CO2.

A little nomenclature correction: HCOONH2 is formamide (amide of formic acid); carbamic acid is NH2COOH (amide of carbonic acid).
