I think it's a great incorporating web-based learning to enhance clinical skills teaching. I would strongly suggest you to go ahead with exploring blended learning with clinical sciences. I'm not very sure about the subject itself, but there are not many subjects/topics that can be impossible on blended learning platforms. So you can get a clear stat from a month of deployment. Use Moodle to start with, it's free and easy to set up.
Good idea to explore, You could also think about the immersive learning VR and serious games. I agree the use of social media is a really helpful tool across education.
