Hello, I am trying to make a simulation of a x-ray nanobeam with the Monte Carlo package GATE, and compare it with another MC code. However, I am not sure about the results of both softwares. Does anybody have knowledge regarding the physics list and the simulated particles orientation in a similar scenario?

Have a look on the XMI-MSIM MC package. It is well documented and everything is published by Vincze, L. and Schoonjans, T. in I think 6 different papers.
It runs on linux, mac and windows.
I want to simulate a nanobeam crossing a water phantom in the x direction.
The energy deposition of the beam in Gate and the other software is different.
In gate the deposition is in a considerably larger area around the size of the beam.
