Has anyone experienced "Data buffering failure (level 2)" error in FRAGSTATS 4.2? I am attempting to run Class level stats on a classified .img image (only two classes) using a user provided tile grid (also .img format). I receive results for only one tile along with the Data buffering failure (level 2) error message in the Activity Log.
Hi, try deleting any fragstats temporary files in your working directory. They are usually leftovers from an unsuccessful run and interfere with any subsequent runs. These files are recognizable by tilde ~ in their name.
This happens when Fragstats is installed under windows user name that contains local characters, special characters, or space. To resolve this, uninstall Fragstats first, then add a new user without special characters or space, and reinstall Fragstats with newly created windows user (which does not contain special characters).
I have the exact same problem, which I haven't been able to resolve with Jaewoo's fix. If I use and generate exactly the same size 'uniform tiles' instead of my user provided tile grid it tries to analyses the right number of tiles but skips them all saying they are invalid so I get no results.

I am facing the same problem now. Where are the fragstats temporary files? Or where is my default working directory? I am quite not familiar with this software...
No luck here... The same error keeps coming. I've moved all my data to a folder in C:\ with a short name, I also have removed all temporary files. My time is running out... Would you recommend a switch to R?
