I'm trying to relate 13C and 15N levels of planktivorous fish from different lakes, to environmental parameters of their habitat. Can anyone suggest a proper statistical technique to do this or guide to some references with similar studies?

I guess redundancy analysis (RDA) is better for this by taking fish isotopic value table as Table X or species table, and environmental data and /or food source isotopic values as Table Y.
