I need to select 2 mini linear actuators for a robotic wrist mechanism. Currently I am using Firgelli, but it is not solid enough for the application. The holding structure of it tends to collapse. Please suggest some linear actuator manufactures, so that I can select a suitable one for my application.
Are you using the L12 mini linear actuators? I had a problem with those when the plastic nut that holds the endless screw or worm wiped out. I contacted the provider but they told me that those mini linear actuators are not made to support or to apply big forces. I would suggest you to manufacture your own endless screw mechanism, to use something like the mechanism in the link attached or to adapt a servomotor because the next size I know of commercial linear actuators are significantly bigger than the mini linear actuators.

Arturo, I used Firgelli L16. As you have said there are several problems with them due to the bad build quality of Firgelli. Gradually with usage of the actuators they started to wear off creating extra degrees of freedom to the mechanism. As you said it would be easy to manufacture a linear actuator. What firgelli has done is, there is a Chinese type motor with a gear head. End of the gear head is attached to the lead screw using a small key head. There is a relative motion between the key head and female socket of the lead screw. I disassembled the motor and inserted some pieces of soft material which prevented the relative motion. Try it and see whether it will work for you. My major problem actually is, with the housing. It bends from the attachment. I am trying to sand cast the housing and will let you know how successful it is.
As in other answers it depends on the static strengths and the dynamic motion, but I experienced with LinMot actuators which I found really robust, as they are not cheaper than Firgelli
