Does anyone have bibliography or know something about the ontogeny/ossification of the the parietal?

You has send us a question that apparently is a simple one, but it is not. You ask about the ontogeny and ossification of the parietal bone on fossil and living vertebrates that includes a variety going from sarcopterygians including actinistians, dipnoans, and tetrapods to actinopterygians. In addition, you just, apparently, think that the parietals in all those animals is homologous (what about dipnoans for example?). I suggest to divide your question in different ones concerning very specific groups of vertebrates. In this way it is possible that you will get some help and interesting advice concerning literature.

Now you are restricting the information that you are looking for. This could be about primitive tetrapods, amphibians, birds, mammals...... All of them in the sarcopterygian line. Among tetrapods, what is your interest exactly?
