The science says that some of the N provided in the Urea will be immobilized but released later. But over what time frame, which I know is like asking how long is a piece of string? And how much of a physical barrier would the sawdust be to the urea and N reaching the soil beneath. If significant amounts of N from the urea would be locked up then what are some options to mitigate this? Apply more urea, mix lower C:N ratio material with the sawdust, apply sawdust a month before Urea applied so that the N is not locked up? Thanks
