Dear Researchers; We propose to derive a regional estimation (for Iran) of solar net radiation (Rn) mainly from satellite data and then use this Rn to derive a regional estimation of Reference Evapotranspiration (ET0) . If anybody has some information about this subject please leave me a short advise.

Dear Ali,
I don't know if you can find all the data you need there, but this website has satellite data on solar radiation and various other meteorological data as a monthly average for the past 22 years based on latitude and longitude.

Regarding to satellite based ET estimation, I think you could refer to the publications by Prof. Dr. Richard from University of Idaho. I think the METRIC Model for ET estimation is very nice and you could find the very detailed description of METRIC Model in one of his publication titled "Satellite-Based Energy Balance for Mapping Evapotranspiration with Internalized Calibration (METRIC)-Model". You can refer publication by Dr.Richard.Some other publications are also available for estimating ET from satellite data.For now I do not remember them.I will inform you about them later.
