Silicon does not digest easily...

Hi,

You can use a combination of HF, HCl, and HNO3. Predigest sample in hotblock for 15 minutes, 215C and then follow the procedure of the microwave manufacture for the digestion. A good place to start with the combination of acids are the service notes from CEM or Anton. I will said that the pre-digestion is key for safety.
