This relatively new device is designed to close the annulus fibrosus defect and prevent reherniation. In any case it makes the discectomy more expensive. According to short-term observations this is a revolutionary device in disc surgery ? Is it really so?

I share the concerns about the device:
- the expense and complicating the procedure.
- Many of our patients are osteoporotic. Inserting a device with one anchoring part has a risk of getting loose and dislodgment. I will be interested to see if this point was addressed in the ongoing studies.
- more radiation
