I do not think you can buy any dendritic cell line, you can have it only by collaboration with the reserchers that produced it.

I mean, DCs can be differentiate in vitro from monocytes isolated from buffy coat by GM-CSF and IL4, (Lanzavecchia) or IFN gamma treatments (Lapenta, Belardelli). These DCs can be cultivate in vitro for short period under stimolation by cytokines, they will died in short time because are highly differentiate cells. Realy, I 'd never hear about human DC cell lines , only mouse DC from Ricciardi-Castagnoli P,

My doubts are : why I have to study a tumour-derived cell line when I can easily prepare primary cells? Any discovery will need to be confirmed on normal cells to have general value , and any discovery will be also sujected to patent of the company. What is your opinion?

Im going to work on CD1 positive cells for allergy treatment. i have problem to find blood donors for dendritic cells. Then I thought if I find a cell line it can be easy to work with

Beyza have mention one, availability of cell lines for when you have to set your experiments. If you have an establised cell line recognized as a model for the condition you are studying, that makes things easier. However, I am for using primary cell cultures whenever possible. That has been discussed in several other forums at ResGate

Babak, we get used blood bags after transfusion from blood transfusion center of hospitals, from healty blood donors, is it not possible in your country?
