There are talks by Samar Mubarak Mand that suggest that coal gas from Thar coal mines can be exploited and energy problems of the country can be solved. I want to know from the experts if any such possibility exists? If so how is the coal gas made and can it be made of Thar Coal in Pakistan?
Coal gas can be a significant source of energy. Usually it is not as big or as easy to exploit as coal itself. Also, it takes more technology than coal mining. It is better environmentally if it is done correctly.
