In other words, Does Advanced Process Control (APC) have a good impact on Feed Management in Ethylene Plant?
Yes to some extent the relevance of advance process control in digitalization of chemical process systems cannot be over emphasized we are talking about automation and artificial intelligence in this dispensation. Advance process monitoring and control of ethylene feed plant management system will go along was to optimize time of investigation and production. It will optimize cost for man-power, and also trouble shooting and emergency systems in the feed plant can be easily monitored.

Feedstock selection requires the use of integer variables in MINLP (mixed-integer, non-linear programming) applications that are generally embedded in the higher-level overall ethylene plant optimization (planning and scheduling). It is not generally within the scope of APC applications.
Ethylene Plant feed management is more of a planning function than a process control function. However, creating multiple operating modes and procedures to optimize yield/profitability for each feed as quickly as possible without harming the equipment are important considerations.
