The relationship between temperature, humidity and COVID-19 has been tested in the lab setting and it is more likely to be similar in the reality. Could this be a reason alongside many other factors that Sub Saharan African Countries have the lowest number of COVID-29 cases so far.

There might be some links between Covid-19 and weather parameters. Though there may not be convincing scientific evidence for this assertion but the conspicuous variations in the covid statistics including fatalities from the temperate regions and the sub Saharan African countries call for some concerns.
