I think that the expression "man is a metal" is metaphorical expression. The minerals have fixed properties while humans constantly change according to the environment and surrounding conditions.

Both of them look brighter by polishing;

Both of them occur in different shape, size, and colors;

Both of them are present in different parts of the world

Both of them are classified according to weight. Some of them are light (impolite=light mineral) and some others are heavy (polite=heavy mineral);

Both of them are impure. The portion of impurity are different from on human/mineral to another;

Both human and minerals are similar in their sensitivity and reaction to temperature, water, and force; and

Both of them have different level of transparency.

The metal really found in the structure of the human body, but there are many differences recorded among full-sibs individuals from the same parents and live in the same environment and house, so they eat from the same source, and although of these conditions, they have different potential and behavior.

The metal has same physiological role in different human races.
