The genus Plumokathina was originally described by Hottinger (2014). However, Benedetti et al. (2018) and Serra-Kiel et al. (2016) regard the genus Plumokathina a junior synonym of Elazigina. Hottinger (2014) originally described the stratigraphic range of Plumokathina lenticula between biozones SBZ3 ('mid' Selandian, Paleocene) and SBZ6 (earliest Ypresian, Early Eocene). Therefore, I would say the appearance of Plumokathina or Elazigina lenticula indicates the middle Paleocene, and its disappearance marks the very early Eocene.

Thanks David for your contribution. In my case, Plumokathina lenticula is associated with Alveolina ellipsodialis SBZ6 but i was not sure if i can consider them as Early Eocene? and if not how can i interpret the occurrence of A. ellipsodials?.

As far as I am aware Alveolina ellipsoidalis is restricted to biozone SBZ6 so I would be confident that if you have an assemblage containing both A. ellipsoidalis and E. lenticula this indicates an Early Eocene age (earliest Ypresian)
