Instead of switching on our laptops now we have handy touch screen mobiles with many apps of social media and research stool.Do you think such mobile and advances in their technology have positive impact on our researches or publication? why ,how and how much.
Very nice question. As far I know updated mobile with a lots of apps have several positive impact on research activities. We can easily use mobile camera for capturing image and locating GPS. Also, we can identify different insect and diseases by apps. In addition, it is very friendly to use ms-word, excel and power point in smart phone. Also, we can use it for scanning purposes too. Grammarly, Mendely, RG etc. all the apps we can handle very conveniently. Also, by using some apps we can collect and store data from the filed which ultimately enhance the research activities very sharply.
Cam Scanner is very useful to scan the documents , save it and share on mail , whats-app etc. Researcher can have like minded communities to exchange latest information via Whats App. Instant communication is possible during the research. However , with too many apps distract the researcher and cut down the quality time putting on research. Google drive is also great . we can access all data through mobile anytime anywhere.We have to be smart enough to use the technology smartly and manage the time.
The prominent areas, where impacts of Smartphone are obvious include business, education, health, and social life. Mobile technology has drastically changed the cultural norms and individual behaviours.

Every technological tool has private advantages and disadvantages. Even if a new development in Mobile devices occurs, Lab-top or disc-top computers will remains comfertable due to the existence all apps as well as wide screen, windows facilities, easy to move from window to another ...etc.

Yes, I believe that smartphones facilitate communication between scientists and facilitate the search for scientific information that may be useful for research. Smarfons are increasingly replacing laptops and other computers.

Personal computers (PCs) are irreplaceable as far as research is concerned. We use PCs to connect to servers, for example HPCs, prepare manuscripts and presentations. Simultaneously, we socialize with the scientific community, help each other when we face difficulties in our quest to solve scientific problems, and to observe the effectiveness of our research outputs using apps on our mobile phones. Some of the apps useful for researchers are ResearchGate, google scholar, google drive, Dropbox, publons, Web of Science (WoS), ..., etc.
So, the contribution of apps in research dissemination and performance evaluations is not underestimated.
Not reslly. I see no difference between different types of machines I use.
It will eventually, so far the top research sites have not even launched their mobile applications.
