I'm working on generating an in vitro recovery rate with a microdialysis probe purchased from CMA. I placed my sample in a cold rack, and it briefly froze while the pump was running. Have I ruined the probe? Is there any way to check?
It´s possible your probe broke. I would let it run with some DF or ACSF for say 20 min. First check whether you have drops coming from the housing of your probe so that you may locate a leakage (if so, take new probe and throw the old one away). Then you can place the probe in a liquid and see if the drops at your outlet are of equal size. In that case the probe should still be usable. good luck.
