If a work environment, like in many places , has policies hidden or visible, of discriminating against women, then the atmosphere, the glass ceiling, and the boy's club can certainly harm their performance. Or... they could be even better performance vis a vis men , but perhaps it would not be validated
I think that in many workplaces women are discriminated against and this also can have impacts on performance. Leaving this aside I do not think that there are 'naturally' differences in work performance between men and women. Sometimes it is said that women are more diligent and men better suited for leadership position, but I think that also men can be very diligent and women d well in leadership positions....
