Preprint About the Executive Assistant to President
I decided to study this issue because the assistant-to position may be found in any number of various administrative settings such as in the military (where the incumbent is usually called an aide-de-camp), in business, in federal and local governments, or in universities. The position may also be found at several levels in organizations, from assistant to the president or board chairman down through assistant to a department manager or lower. When I write “He” I mean” He or She”. Take note of the importance of this work position, almost the times disregarded but absolutely important for a good chain of command.
Here in Nigerian political settings, we have a lot of such as Special Assistant (SA) and Personal Assistant (PA). Though many see it as waste of tax payer money as regard the way politicians handle the office but in real sense I believe having such is good especially for those who hold high administrative offices and are tasked to perform multiple functions.
Assistant work is very important in the absence of the head of labor and also has the authority to complete the work, whether administrative or otherwise ...

The work of the assistant is often the implementation of what the president or the board of directors wants, so the work of the assistant is not advisory or legislative.
Yes, I understand that and I think that any person in order to be a successful leader has to acquire expertise in his field of competence by working as an assistant to people who are experienced in the field of specialization and thus have the opportunity to learn every little and great in his field of specialization .
Whatever may be our standing position in our organization , at the outside your approach with the assistant & any sub ordinates in the jr level they should feel your presence at a smiling level when they meet or approach us & in this environment they are very much comfortable to give work & assignment in a systematic timely level due to the approach of their head of the group .
