It is according to the case..

Usually open reduction is done.. if the actetbular index is normal and the femoral head is reduced only in severe internal rotation, you have to derotate..

Derotation perform according to the case , but shortening I usually perform it

Shortening is necessary especially in high dislocation of femoral head.
