We are interested in finding researchers who have experience in analyzing dialogues between science, policymakers, civil society, and the private sector. The aim of our project is to learn more about the “co-creative modus operandi” and to discuss whether (and how) such an approach could be integrated in the field of policy advice, by bringing different stakeholders together in reciprocal learning and decision-making processes in order to generate solutions that are valued by all of the parties involved.

In our research group we attempt to link political science with policy making. The Swiss Foreign Ministry is interested to apply the research of our new Cambridge book "Deliberation across Deeply Divided Societies" to their own work in such societies. The idea is that the tapes and transcripts of our discussion groups in Colombia, Brazil, and Bosnia are introduced into the schools of these countries so that children learn early on the skills of deliberation (more in attached paper).

My colleagues and I have been involved in a number of stakeholder engagement and learning processes in Scotland, particularly around climate, emergencies, energy, and local government and communities.
