I am looking for research papers copied (in full or in part) by other papers to identify a "percentage of plagiarism". Authors can be different. Can you help me find any papers?
Another good source can be public scandals. In Germany, there was a large groundswell of politicians resigning due to plagiarized Phd-theses. There even exists a public website (attached) searching for more and publishing information on cases. It is solely in german, though.
The people of arXiv made a study of the preprint published on their site, maybe there is also follow-up work to be found. This sound a bit like what you are planning to do.
I am sure you would like the attached files as they are one of the very finest examples of plagiarism which has been published in different journals and in different countries. Text is the same throughout the papers
Yes. For examples of plagiarised papers, search for retraction notices.
So-called '% plagiarism' cannot be measured by programs for Physics, CS and Mathematics papers because a simple unattributed swapping of variable names will fool a program.
Anyway, in any field, a similarity does not necessarily mean plagiarism.
I hope this is useful. Recently I found a site that provides a tool to detect plagiarism using text and citations validation and provides also some examples. However, only allows to compare two documents, but seems interesting: http://www.sciplore.org/projects/citation-based-plagiarism-detection/
I also recall a rather productive person several decades ago, in the field of discrete math, I think, although all his papers were forgeries - completely stolen. I think he is easy to find in Mathematical Reviews, with many hits. And misses. :-)
Recently, what so called as Intelligence Conceptual Plagiarism is also getting known especially in Machine Learning community. Please have a look on the following links.
The following research paper are identical. There is only difference in title and authors!!! The first document is an original one, while the second is 100 % plagiarism!!!
There are many examples of plagiarism of high-government officials all over the world. I have stated story with one minister and one mayor. Link follows. There are about 500 contributions.
Dear Andrea Masotti , here is documented plagiarism of my daughter's paper. The whole thread under the project ETHICAL-AND-QUESTIONABLE-PRACTICES-IN-RESEARCH-AND-PUBLISHING:
