I've been looking and can't see any wound odor evaluation other than in overall wound assessment scores. So far I've seen the Toronto and Edmonton symptom Assessment Systems, which are overall wound assessment scales, but we were really looking for something more specific.
So much of "odour" is subjective (Is it beautiful Parmigiano Regiano, or is it vomit?) that it may be impossible to quantify.

I explored this a few years ago and got nowhere. Part of the problem was that some people just cannot smell! Particularly one of my heavy smoking orthopaedic colleagues!

- A lot of research was performed on this topic. Intra- and interobserver differnce was to high to validate it any time. An electronical system failed too. My recommondation use the Patient Benefit Index.

I had an idea to quantify the accuracy of smell among medical professionals, but my methodology always ended up involving a massive wine-tasting event. Not conducive to proper analysis!
