there is a book called "Cases on Instructional Technology in Gifted and Talented Education".

Lesia Lennex, Kimberely Fletcher Nettleton are the editors and it was published in 2014.

Chapter 6 is about "Teacher Education".

Maybe you will find some interesting articles or hints in this book.
