This question stems from one by Colin Smith on metaphors (see link). I am personally passionate about education and on R.G, I see evidence that many others are too. To me poetry is a passionate mode of communication. It is also brimful with metaphors and word plays which sing to the soul. For a while I dabbled in beat poetry, my first of course on being a teacher. I am at best mediocre, but enjoyed the experience immensely. If you have a poem about teaching or education, that you know, have penned or will pen for this thread, please share it. I admit, I am not sure about copyright, this being after all a public space, so if anyone else does, please share it early on. My poem on teaching is attached. Please remember it is actually written to be performed not just read and forgive its naivety.
