I am seeking information about: 1) the age ranges, and 2) the clinical nature of the normative information for the following tests. I did not find the information through a literature search and I do not have the corresponding manuals. If you have info about any of these I would really appreciate your sharing. Thanks!
• Aphasia Screening Test, 2nd Edition (AST; Whurr, 1996)
• Quick Assessment for Aphasia (Tanner & Culbertson, 1999)
• Boston Assessment of Severe Aphasia (BASA; Helm-Estabrooks, Ramsberger, Morgan, & Nicholas, 1989)
• Butt Nonverbal Reasoning Test (BNVR; Butt & Bucks, 2004)
• Comprehensive Aphasia Test (CAT; Swinburn, Porter, & Howard, 2004)
• Measure of Cognitive-Linguistic Abilities (MCLA; Ellmo, Graser, Krchnavek, Hauck, & Calabrese, 1995)
• Quality of Communication Life Scale (ASHA QCL; Paul, Frattali, Holland, Thompson, Caperton, & Slater, 2004)
I think to get Normative sample for the above mentioned scales is not an easy thing. The reason is that the setting and the characteristics of the population where you are interested to do your study is difficult to match normative sample in general. You will be lucky if you find something to refer to within similar context of your study. good luck.

Thanks, Amber! I do like how thorough they seem in to be in terms of number of instruments. However, they lack some of the information we're seeking (as I learned from other tests I was investigating) and it costs $ for each review just to check to see if they might have the relevant info. I'm hoping through this network of colleagues who might have direct access to manuals that we might find a few more clues. Thanks again for suggesting!
